Police registration form in Morocco: what you need to know.
In Morocco, accommodation establishments report their guests' arrivals, nights and departures every day, before 8 a.m., on the stdn.ma portal, and keep the individual forms for one year. Sojori has the police registration form signed online during the WhatsApp check-in and keeps the forms as PDFs; the filing remains the establishment's responsibility.

The legal texts
Guest reporting rests on three texts.
- Law 80-14 on tourist accommodation establishments and other forms of tourist accommodation, articles 36 to 38: the operator reports the arrivals and nights of its guests (Official Gazette no. 6404 of 15 October 2015).
- Decree 2-15-865 of 9 June 2016 sets the online reporting and the model of the individual form (Official Gazette no. 6485).
- Joint order 3171-16 of 10 February 2017 sets the registration and the certificate.
- A joint circular from the Ministries of the Interior and of Tourism, dated February 2024, relaunched the rollout of online reporting; 3,414 establishments were registered at the end of May 2024 (Le Matin, 13 June 2024).
Signing up on STDN
Registration is done online at www.stdn.ma, then by a paper file submitted to the DGSN (national police) or the GR (Royal Gendarmerie) within 30 days. An authentication certificate is then issued.
- The operating authorization.
- The commercial register extract.
- The CNIE or the residence permit.
- The classification decision.
- The pre-registration form.
Reporting every day
Online reporting replaces the filing of individual forms with the DGSN or the GR, the guest register and the manual reporting of nights.
- The deadline: every day before 8 a.m., report arrivals, nights and departures on www.stdn.ma.
- Two ways to report: enter the forms one by one, or import an Excel file (the official template can be downloaded from the "Espace pratique").
- A day without guests: report "zero nights".
- Platform down: submit the forms to the DGSN or the GR before 8 a.m., then enter them within 72 hours after the service is back.
- Online reporting has the same legal value as paper. A delay or a failure to report exposes you to the penalties provided for in article 48 of law 80-14.
- Transition: until the DGSN or the GR has exempted you, keep submitting the forms; the register is stamped on the 1st of each month.
Keeping the forms for one year
The individual forms are archived for one year and presented to the DGSN or the GR on request.
What about an apartment rented by the night?
The official guide covers classified establishments. For an apartment rented by the night, the exact obligation depends on the status of the property. Ask the prefecture or the police station in your city.
What Sojori does
Sojori handles each guest's form at check-in. The filing with STDN remains the establishment's responsibility.
- The guest fills in and signs the police registration form online during the WhatsApp check-in, along with their identity documents.
- You can block the sending of access codes until the form is complete.
- Signed forms are kept as PDFs with the booking: useful for the one-year archiving.
